Today marks a beginning of sorts.
It is the beginning of a new year, a new adventure and a new blog.
The beauty of beginnings is the feeling of having limitless possibilities. The thought of starting on a blank, clean slate busies the mind on what can happen among a spectrum of possibilities. Being in this bubble of tabula rasa is fleeting. It induces positive feelings of enthusiasm and optimism. But in a way, this bubble can be a trap. The danger of being in a state of possibilities is to be crippled by being too overwhelmed by the totality of things and consequently be unable to realize these.
Today, I am amidst new transitions. From 2010 to 2011, from Philippines to Singapore. Bundled with these beginnings are great possibilities which will only happen if I make it happen.
And so, let this new year, new adventure and new blog be about carving something beautiful from a slab of possibility.
